Older kitchens
In the Courtyard, their entry is located closed to the right of the porch. They date back to the 17th century.
Along with some collected objects, memories and testimonies of the lifestyle of 19th century, we can see the bread oven, which still operates today, the sink dug, built in a single block of stone, or even below, the washing stone and pump which supplied water from the tank.

The source
Edmond Borthon, proud owner of the Castle in the 19th century, discovered a sourceat the northern foot of the Castle. Located at 15m depth, the water has been be channeled to feed the pond of the Castle, now off property. A splendid stone tunnel, long over 100m, whose entrance is in the English garden, provides access to the source.
At that time, it also allowed to have water in the kitchen.
Today, the flow from the source can no longer irrigate the creek at the entrance of the tunnel, but we hope to work to restore water supplies, to reach the English garden of his first vocation of freshness area..

The Park
In a little more than 5 hectares, it is in “English style" and was planted in the first half of the 19th century, in the purest spirit of the age including all the "romantic" elements of 19th century such as: artificial cave , a source, antique statues, rare and exotic trees, as well as two originals "Snails of Burgundy."
It grows on both sides of a central lawn, decorated with a carp pond and whose aisles are lined with many century-old trees.
Left of the central lawn, in the English Park, walking-by the numerous paths , you will see a small pool totally carved in one bloc of stone, where the birds like to drink, and a small "Doll house" built in the typical Burgundy style.
The bed of an ancient stream, now covered in ivy, snakes between the trees and leads to the entrance of an underground passage along more than 100 meters, which allows access to a source located below the Castle.

The “ Wild Wood”
At the bottom of the park stretches the “Wild Wood”.
It calls for a walk through its shadowy alleys, to the discovery of his statues and stone benches.
Going back into the lawn, you can see the “Vignerons House" entirely built with regional stones.
The “Wild Wood” home to a curious stoned Point of view, very typical of the region, which has become an architectural rarity: the "Snail of Burgundy":
This stoned promontory is absolutely unique; It was the only one to be constructed in this way in the Haute Marne, and probably through all France.
Park owns a second one located near the main entry, which is currently covered with wild vegetation..
